Amsterdam based sound studio REC Sound was in need of a new website. Instead of making a website that showcases Rec Sound’s work (that’s what Vimeo is for) we made a website that showcases the sounds of Rec Sound.
MAKE IT HEARD
At REC Sound they record sounds for a living so we had them make tailor made sounds for all the buttons of their new website. Apart from that, they recorded sounds that visitors can use to create their own soundtrack to casually browse to. “But what if people have their sound off?” you may wonder. Well… we’ve got that covered; the website automatically switches to hearing impaired subtitles. [sigh of relief]PRESS REC, GO WILD

How do you capture the art of sound in visuals? By using shapes that mimic sound. From wobbly to angular, you can find plenty of them in the branding of REC. Each with its own distinctive look.
